This policy explains what personal information madebycf collects through this website, why it is collected, and what you can ask us to do with it. It follows Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.
Who we are
This website is operated by Calhoun & Fournier S.E.N.C., a Quebec firm that does business as madebycf. The person in charge of the protection of personal information can be reached at privacy@madebycf.com. Write there with any question or request about this policy, or about information we hold on you.
What we collect and why
The contact form is the only place this site asks you for personal information. It collects your name and email address, which are required, along with your company, the type of project, and your message, which are optional. We use it to read your inquiry and reply to it.
Our server also notes the IP address a submission comes from, so we can limit how often the form is used and block abuse.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies. We use no advertising tools, no social media pixels, and no technology meant to identify, locate, or profile you. Fonts are served from our own servers, so loading a page tells no third party that you were here.
If you pick the light or the dark theme, your browser remembers that choice so the site can honour it next time. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
We measure traffic with Vercel Analytics, which works without cookies. It reports how many people visited a page and where they arrived from, in aggregate.
Where the information goes
We work with service providers located in the United States. Vercel hosts the site and processes the traffic measurements, Resend delivers the contact form to our mailbox, and Mux streams the films on the project pages, which is why it receives your IP address when a film plays. When you send the form, your message is therefore transmitted and stored outside Quebec.
How long we keep it
We keep what you send us only as long as we need it to deal with your inquiry and to meet our legal and tax obligations, then we destroy it.
Your rights
You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete, or to have it deleted. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
Write to privacy@madebycf.com. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec at cai.gouv.qc.ca.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the site changes what it collects. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
